Alex Wanee
Chief Executive Officer
Alex joined Acadia through the CEO-in-Training program in October 2022. He comes to us with a Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare Management, as well as over a decade of experience in leading and growing individuals and companies alike.
Prior to Acadia, Alex worked as an entrepreneur, successfully building and operating two health & fitness companies, specifically in the realm of sports performance and physical therapy. He spent years working with professional athletes, dedicated in the area of motorsports. His focus included working, coaching and traveling with racecar drivers for IndyCar, NASCAR, and he concluded this chapter of his career with Red Bull Racing in Formula One.
Ultimately, Alex realized his true calling was in the field of healthcare, particularly behavioral health. As the son of two doctors, they fostered his interest and passion for healthcare. He finds his purpose in leading teams, growing companies, and making a positive impact on the lives of others. With his passion, leadership skills, and incredible work ethic, Alex is excited to further Acadia’s purpose of ‘leading care with light’ at Red River Hospital.
