Michele began her nursing career in 1992 at Wichita General Hospital where she worked Med/Surg and Oncology for 6 years. Expanding her nursing knowledge, she transferred to ICU care and worked for another year before embarking on her mental health journey. Michele began working at Red River Hospital in 1999, working primarily with the adult population and assisting on the child/adolescent and chemical dependency units. In 2005, Michele transitioned to Utilization Management with a focus on expanding her nursing skillset. A few years later, Michele was promoted to the Director of Utilization Management and has intermittently held the role of Director of Admissions. Currently, Michele is one of Red River Hospital’s most tenured and dedicated staff members, holding the role of Director of Utilization Management and Discharge Planning.
